Social Worker

Médecins du Monde (MDM) France is an international medical organization, which has been present in the Palestinian territories since 1995. It operates in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank through offices located in Jerusalem, Gaza and Nablus.
MDM is currently looking for qualified candidate to fill the positions of Social Worker based in
Nablus. Number of vacancies: 1
Starting Date: 1st of September
Duration: 8 Months (with possibility to be extended)

I-MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
-Organize, implement and follow up MHPSS (Mental health and psychosocial) activities according
to MDM intervention methodology:
-Crisis intervention after critical events
-Resilience group based activities for adults, adolescents and children
-Contribute to the organization, and implementation of protection activities: Reinforcing community
capacities, protection assessments, reporting and referring cases to protection actors.
-Contribute to maintain links with the MHPSS network, Protection actors and other partner organizations.
-Participate and provide inputs about MHPSS aspects, during need assessments, elaboration of new projects and activities, and communication and advocacy activities.

II-RequirmentS:
-University degree as social worker/psychologist
-At least 3 years of relevant experience (counseling, social work)
-Well developed communication and counseling skills
-Good knowledge and experience in implementing psycho social services at community level
-Knowledge of the context
-Experience in training, monitoring and reporting.
-Good command of English and Arabic languages (both written and spoken).
-Computer skills (word, excel, PowerPoint, statistics software…).
