Background

The Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC) is a leading non-profit Palestinian Agricultural Development Organization that was established in 1986.

UAWC is seeking a qualified applicant to fill “Social Worker” position.

Location: UAWC Office in Ramallah, with frequent trips to Bethlehem and Hebron Governorates.
Start date: Immediately.
Core duties and responsibilities

-Analysis of the needs of vulnerable women and the social context regarding gender and protection.
-Collaborate in meetings and processes of collecting information for diagnostics of community resources for protection.
-Collaborate in the identification and follow up of cases regarding IHL violations.
-Responsible of publication of information about specific mechanisms and services in the form of leaflets and brochures.

Minimum qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related field, preferable master degree in protection.
-Minimum 5 years relevant experience in working in the gender and protection field with preferable 2 years of working with international organization.
-Fluency in English and Arabic.
