Social Worker

COOPI – Cooperazione Internazionale - is an international Non-Governmental Organization operating in the Occupied Palestinian Territory since 2002. For the implementation of the humanitarian aid project entitled “Promoting East Jerusalem innovation and sustainable economic development through TVET”, COOPI is looking for 2 (two) Community Workers/Educators to support COOPI programs in East Jerusalem.

The candidate shall work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager. The position is a 1-year renewable contract with starting date in October 2016 and a 3-months’ probation period.

Responsibilities

-    Planning and implementation of career awareness campaigns with different age groups;
-    Training of key persons on the project’s methodology of career awareness;
-    Participating in the development of new TVET awareness tools;
-    Surveys conduction for project’s data collection;
-    Follow up the implementation of the project’s activities with the project’s partners;
-    Networks establishment with CBOs and national and international organizations;
-    Support the Project Manager in activities monitoring;

Requirements

-    University degree in social service, psychology or education;
-    Minimum 2 years of experience in the educational sector with different age groups;
-    Experience in awareness campaigns;
-    Experience in TVET and in career jobs.ps awareness is an asset;
-    Good knowledge of English and Hebrew is an asset;
-    IT literacy;
-    Valid driving license.
