Social Worker

St John Eye Hospital is the leading provider of eye care in East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The main Hospital is located in Jerusalem and in recent years has expanded its services with the provision of Clinics in Hebron and Anabta. In addition to our extensive range of specialist services we also provide services within the community through our Outreach
Teams which travel throughout the West Bank.  We seek to recruit a Social Worker for the St John Eye Hospital Group. Based in Jerusalem you will be responsible for assessing the financial and social needs of poor patients and responsible for recommending exemptions accordingly.
You will also provide psycho-social support/care to patients (and their relatives) who may be devastated by serious eye conditions such as cancer , sudden loss of Vision etc..
You will have a professional social work qualification along with two years social work experience. You will also be an excellent communicator and have counseling skills. You will be fluent in
Arabic and English , Hebrew would be an advantage.
