Position Title: Social Worker, Psychological Counselor
Location: Ramallah &Nablus
Job Type: Part-Time, full time (Three days a week in Ramallah& Three days in Nablus)

Dunya Association believes that quality health is a right for all and works to provide free services for marginalized groups and social hardship cases, which annually form more than 30% of the total number of beneficiaries

Mission: Dunya Association works to protect women and girls from tumors by providing quality preventive and diagnostic services for women's tumors, increasing societal awareness of the importance of early detection, and influencing policies and legislation.
Dunya Women’s Cancer Center was established in Ramallah in 2011 as a non-profit center and since 2022 dunya is under the umbrella of Dunya Women's Cancer Association. It is the first and only center in Palestine specialized in diagnosing breast and gynecological tumors.
The center has a multidisciplinary team including but not limited to: radiologists, radiology technicians, oncologist, Oncological surgery doctor, women’s doctor, nurses, lab technician and administrative staff.
Job Summary: The Social Worker will provide psychological and social support to women with cancer and their families through individual counseling, group sessions, workshops, and recreational activities. This role involves managing support services, organizing group activities, and enhancing patient and family well-being during treatment and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Individual Psychological Support:
- Provide one-on-one psychological support to women with cancer to help them manage emotional and psychological challenges.
- Offer counseling and guidance to individuals to help them cope with anxiety, depression, and stress.
- Group Support:
- Organize and facilitate support groups for cancer survivors and their families to encourage sharing of experiences and mutual support.
- Lead group workshops to provide coping strategies and promote positive mental health.
3.Preparing material for implementing individual and group psychological support .
- Recreational Activities:
- Design and implement recreational activities aimed at improving mood and enhancing the quality of life for women with cancer and their families.
- Plan and execute social events to alleviate stress and strengthen social connections among participants.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with healthcare providers and other team members to coordinate comprehensive support for patients and their families.
- Provide additional information and resources based on individual needs.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of individual and group support sessions and recreational activities.
Prepare regular reports on activities, outcomes, and recommendations for service improvement.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications are preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience providing psychological and social support, preferably in a healthcare or cancer care setting.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and to coordinate activities effectively.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Capability to handle emotional and sensitive situations with care.
