Social Worker Supervisor
MSF Spain is looking for a skilled Social Worker Supervisor in Hebron to help us in supervising the implementation of social activities according to MSF protocols, standards and procedures in order to address individual social critical needs (of assistance and/or protection), foster patient’s overall wellbeing and agency via patient social support, and enhance community-based social intervention (depending on the scope of the social work component in the project).

Accountabilities:
Case management: support social work team to create a safe and caring environment for individuals in need of social support and in a way to address their social critical needs including protection, assistance and aspects of patients’ recovery path
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of safe supportive networks with institutional and community-based partners for referrals
- Contribute to the definition of the social case management strategy and the internal dissemination of criteria for detection of individuals with social critical needs
- Ensure that individuals are received according to eligibility criteria, and their situation and their needs are assessed according to thourough assessments of cases
- Support and ensure the adequate management of social cases by the social workers, from social assessment to case closure, including every step like risk assessment, intervention plan, referrals, follow up, etc...
- Enhance two-way communication and patient agency: ensure the active participation of patients in the decision regarding their health and social situation
- Manage complex or sensitive cases in close collaboration with the HPCE Manager/FC/PMR and contribute to the definition of the best approach in order to address the individuals’ needs while considering risk and protective factors.
Community based social support: ensure the contribution of social care team to the multidisciplinary community.based activities such as Safe Spaces, engagement activities and the monitoring of specific vulnerabilities and critical needs in the community (in collaboration with HPCE, and/or humanitarian affairs teams)
- In close collaboration with the HPCE team, identify social critical needs in the community with an emphasis on protection concerns
- Supervise and manage the activities in the Safe Spaces
- Follow up and improve of capacity building for the Recreational Activity Facilitators
- Contribute to the project understanding of risk and protective factors in the community

Education
University degree in social work/counselling/social sciences or any related field.
Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of previous professional experience as a social worker
- Experience (minimum 1 year) in GBV Case Management and Child Protection Case Management
- Experience in managing social support activities in the community with vulnerable groups
- Demonstrable experience (minimum 1 year) in supervising and training others in a team setting
- Experience with MSF or with other International NGOs
Languages
Essential: Arabic and English.
Knowledge
- Essential: knowledge of word, excel and internet
