Software Programming Intern (VB.Net)

Background:

American company Tetra Tech DPK is implementing the Justice Sector Assistance Project (JSAP) IV under a contract funded by the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL). JSAP IV is a five-year project (one base year and four option years) that began in August 2015. JSAP IV provides support across the West Bank to the Public Prosecution Offices (PPOs), Palestinian Civil Police (PCP), the Security Forces Justice Commission (SFJC), and the Preventive Security Organization (PSO).

Software Programming Intern (VB.Net)

Position Summary:

JSAP IV is seeking a fresh graduate to serve as a Microsoft .NET Software Developer Intern. The Intern will be responsible for support and maintenance of new and existing software, writing code primarily in VB.Net

Requirements Qualifications:

bachelor’s degree (degree in computer or software engineering-related field is preferred)
recently graduated with university degree completed no more than two years ago

Other Preferred Qualifications:

knowledge and/or experience with Software Development Lifecycle, including the technologies listed below;
experience in designing and developing enterprise scale .NET applications;
expertise with the .NET Framework 4.0 or greater;
experience with desktop applications using WinForms and/or web experience with ASP.NET MVC, WebForms, or .NET Core;
experience with crystal report;
client-side programming/scripting technologies (HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JQuery, and JavaScript);
experience with any of the following is preferred but not required: Knockout, Angular, Backbone, or React;
expertise in developing moderate to complex SQL in MS SQL Server preferred but not required;
ability to pick up technologies quickly and learn new skills;
ability to work independently and be a flexible, self-motivated team player;
uses good judgment when analyzing the impact of code edits or additions on existing code;
ability to accurately estimate the effort needed to complete tasks assigned to you;

skilled in ensuring delivered code meets high standards of quality and re-usability
