Storekeeper - Middle Area

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:
Reporting to the Facility Officer, the Storekeeper implements efficient storage management for the geographical area under his or her responsibility. He or she is the point person for the Facility Officer, and as such informs him or her of any problems that fall within his or her remit and suggests solutions. He or she is a key player in the rollout and implementation of HI’s logistics standards, which consists in reworking the positioning of logistics at HI and affirming the principle of professional development.
Responsibilities:
Responsibility 1: OPERATIONAL IMPLEMENTATION OF STOCK MANAGEMENT
▪ Carry on the stock management in compliance with HI storage management procedures and project needs (stock management tools)
▪ Ensure total compliance to warehouse policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
▪ Respect the quality control process in collaboration with the technical unit upon supplier’s deliveries
▪ Receive and control the deliveries from suppliers and report any non-compliance with HI order (quality,
quantity etc..) and reconciles with purchase orders and delivery notes and to line manager.
▪ Supervise all trucks when loading and unloading materials and equipment’s from and to stores.
▪ Carry on weekly, monthly physical inventory of HI stocks.
▪ Update and report the weekly stocks inventory to line manager
▪ Develop and adjust the items list within the stock management tools upon line manager instructions
▪ Maintain an updated and complete warehouse records, Quantities received, stored and dispatched must match with records, Bin cards and stock cards are fully completed and updated, materials are in good condition and correctly stored, maintain a good record of item deliveries and issues.
▪ Maintain clear record of warehouse register, warehouse inspection reports, spot checks reports, discrepancy reports, disposal documentation/reports, delivery reports, waybills, store releases, stock cards, etc.
▪ Comply with policy of First in First Out (FIFO) and First Expiry First Out (FEFO) and minimize the level of
expiries in the warehouses.
Responsibility 2: PHYSICAL STOCK MANAGEMENT
▪ To optimize the storage conditions in accordance with the specificity of the material stored and HI projects requirements (dust control, pest control, assistive devices fittings…).
▪ Ensure a good management of the transit area (keep the space always available for reception of the local freight, preparation of deliveries to the bases, …etc.)
▪ Ensure that all doors are doubly locked, security system are always operational, control access into the
warehouses.
▪ Ensure items are raised off the ground, safely stack materials in warehouse, proper access to materials, easy location of materials when needed for picking and stock taking, shelve and organize materials according to HI standards and best practices.
▪ Ensure that correct items are always counted, and right entries made, check documents for errors, store all items in the warehouse, address and report all cases of discrepancies.
▪ Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations
Responsibility 3: Emergency Preparedness and Response Responsibilities
▪ Contributes to the program's emergency preparedness actions and, during an emergency, adapts his/her work modality to contribute to HI’s effective humanitarian response

Essential
- Bachelor’s Degree in warehouse management or related studies;
- 1 year’ experience as a Storekeeper or a similar position.
- Previous experience with I/NGO is plus
