Job Opportunity: Strategic Planning and Policy Advisor
The Palestinian Market Development Programme (PMDP) is funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and the European Union (EU) in cooperation with the Ministry of National economy and implemented by DAI Europe.
PMDP is supporting the Ministry of National Economy in recruiting a Strategic Planning and Policy Advisor who will be responsible for:
-Help establishing and agreeing on a clear strategy and work plan for the MONE’s reform agenda.
-Help defining priority economic policy and reform measures and projects that will form priority focus areas of the Ministry, in coordination with the Minister’s advisor.
-Overseeing the implementation of the agreed upon reform agenda.
-Supporting the relevant ministry staff to develop clear action plans with timelines to ensure successful implementation of reforms.
-Developing and implementation of a system for regular performance reporting on priority initiatives.
-Periodically reviewing and adjusting the reform agenda as required.
-Following up on the implementation of PMDP related activities.
-Any other tasks and duties assigned by the Minister.
Qualifications:
-Master’s degree in economics, business administration, business law, or a related field.
-Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
-Excellent understanding of the Palestinian economy and policy related issues.
-Understanding of the Palestinian private sector.
-Familiarity with the Palestinian private and public sector institutions.
