SGG is looking for a Supply Chain Manager

About SGG

Responsibilities:

-Directs importing, warehousing, and distribution activities to limit costs and improve accuracy.
-Oversee and manage all global freight movements, ensuring all company import and export activities are fully compliant with local and international customs and import / export regulations.
-Evaluate any risks to the business in relation to non-compliance and to manage these effectively to minimize any potential financial impact
-Actively monitor and review current processes and procedures, making recommendations for improvements and simplifications wherever possible with a focus on improving business performance
-Effectively manage exports to USA and import on arrival
-Successfully and commercially negotiate freight and service levels with forwarders – including involvement in business wide freight tenders.
-Proactively build and maintain close working relationships with all freight vendors, working to ensure all SOPs are adhered to, that service levels remain high
-Provide intake forecasting and reporting for trade meetings
-Ensure adherence to cost profiles such as ocean, air and road
-Proactively and effectively manage project risks and issues related to Import/Export, including the development of contingency plans where applicable, with a focus on minimizing detrimental impact of any change initiatives
-Develop and maintain an external network, sharing knowledge and gathering ideas to improve business processes

Requirements:

-5+ Years’ experience in a logistics environment in Palestine.
-Solid understanding of Supply Chain procedures, including a deep understanding of CFSP and bond, HMRC regulations, and classifications and Incoterms in Palestine.
-Computer literacy essential in desktop packages.
-A confident manager who takes a strong interest in team development.
-Excellent verbal / written skills
-Strong decision maker
-Good problem solving and lateral thinker
