SYFS | Case Manager
Save Youth Future Society (SYFS) is a non-governmental, non-profit and independent society founded in Gaza in 2001. SYFS work is informed by the necessity of creating independent, self-reliant initiatives that lead to the achievement of sustainable development, and which incorporate values of self-sufficiency and self-empowerment.
SYFS will start to implement the project “Youth-Net: Youth Organizations’ Network Building Resilience and Promoting Rights of Youth and Adolescents in the Gaza Strip through their Constructive Community Involvement as Participative Agents” funded by the European Union. The project aims to empower adolescents, youth and youth CBOs in the Gaza Strip to active and meaningful community engagement.
As a result, SYFS intends to recruit for the following position:
Title: Case Manager
Place: Save Youth Future Society office, Gaza
Report to: Program Manager
Duration: One year with possibility of extension
Key Responsibilities:
-Identify and follow up individual cases including coordinating internal and external referrals for specialized services.
-Assess and seek to adequately address complex needs of adolescents.
-Plan and conduct the needed intervention together with adolescents and their families.
-Follow up cases that were referred to other service providers for specialized assistance.
-Maintain proper documentation and provide update reports regarding progress in each case.
-Obtain required assents/consents and ensure high standards of confidentiality.
-Apply Child Protection Minimum Standards and Inter Agency Guidelines for Case Management & Child Protection in his/her work.
-Coordinate with wide variety of service-providers for external referrals.
-Perform any other tasks requested by the Program Coordinator or Program Manager.
Academic and Professional Qualifications and Experience:
-Bachelor degree in Social Work, Psychology or other related field.
-At least three years working experience in relevant field.
-Knowledge of Child Protection Minimum Standards and Inter Agency Guidelines for Case Management & Child Protection. Desirable familiarity with child protection and referral pathways in the Gaza Strip.
-The ability to conduct individual assessments, case management planning, coordinating referrals and interactions with parents.
-Strong interpersonal skills.
-High level of understanding and sensitivity to serving diverse adolescents and families including those with special needs.
-Excellent reporting and formal writing skills in both English and Arabic.
-Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
-Advanced computer literacy.
-Ability to work under pressure and within a team
