Tamer Institute for Community Education, is an independent, Palestinian non-profit organization established in 1989 and based in Ramallah. The Institute works in all parts of the West Bank and Gaza Strip to meet needs in the field of education mainly through the promotion of reading, enhancing children’s literature, and promoting the role of youth in their communities. Tamer Institute for Community Education would like to recruit for the position of Program Officer to be filled immediately. The organization would like its new Program officer to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- B.A degree in Human sciences or Business Administration, Masters is preferable.
- A minimum of five years experience working in a local
or international NGO mainly in project development, follow-up and reporting
- Excellent language skills in both Arabic and English
- Exceptional proposal and report-writing skills
- Creative and innovative in project idea formation
- Good communications and public relations skills
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly
- Ability to follow strict reporting requirements
- Ability to work within a small team
- Ability to travel in West Bank and Gaza occasionally
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
