Job Summary:
As a Team Leader for NGO Capacity Strengthening at Arkan Consultancy Services (ACS), you will play a crucial role in leading a diverse team of individuals with various positions to enhance their capabilities and drive the partner organization's mission forward. Your primary responsibility is to provide strategic leadership, guidance, and support to the team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of accounting standards for non-profit organizations.
- A minimum of five years of experience is required in applying governance principles to non-governmental organizations, alongside expertise in risk management and internal control practices.
- Lead and manage a cross-functional team.
- Set clear team goals and objectives aligned with the or partner organization's mission and strategic priorities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes collaboration, creativity, and excellence.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Deliver all capacity development-related activities for the partner organization in diverse areas of organizational development (leadership and management, financial management, human resources management, partner relations, outreach to beneficiaries and communications with multiple audiences, project monitoring and evaluation, technology utilization and others).
- Develop materials and processes for specific areas/topics identified as needed for capacity strengthening of the partner organization, providing mentoring and coaching to relevant personal and technical experts, facilitating peer learning, and utilizing other learning methodologies as appropriate.
- Ensure integration and coordination between the organizational capacity development with other technical support activities for the partner organization.
- Implement Organizational Capacity Assessments with the partner organization and develop a capacity strengthening action plans in close collaboration with the organization’s leadership and technical experts. Follow-up on partners’ organizational priorities.
- Provide customized mentoring follow ups at organizational and individual levels.
- Support the development of OD technical documents, abstracts, presentations and reports documenting achievements, lessons learnt and other findings related to the project to support partner organization’s staff capacity strengthening.
- Refine organizational development tools and recommend best approaches for the staff and partner capacity development, building on existing partner organization’s knowledge and experience.
- Provide input in refining partner organization’s existing organizational development tools and organizational assessment monitoring and evaluation.
- Identifying international and/or national consultants or service providers, drafting their scope of work, follow up on their recruitment, and monitor work progress.
- Maintain close communication and positive working relations at all times with relevant partners and personnel.
- Develop performance monitoring systems and tools, and writing of reports.
- Ensuring plans on different levels of technical departments are implemented and followed up.
- Ensuring plans, tools, and tasks are always altered according to changing circumstances and lessons learned to achieve best results.
- Coordinate partner organization’s staff and partners to facilitate project support interventions

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., nonprofit management, business administration, accounting).
- Proven experience in team leadership and management, ideally in a non-profit or capacity-building context.
- Strong understanding of capacity development principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
- Project management experience and proficiency in using project management tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the non-profit organization.
