Technical Coordinator

Promotion of Gender-Sensitive Local Councils Programme
is looking for a
“Technical Coordinator”
Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:
1-Management and coordination
1-Assist in the conception, management and implementation of the programme;
2-Ensure the implementation of Programme work packages and work on meeting the Programme’s
indicators;
3-Participate in formulating the programme’s action plans and assist in synchronising the planning
and budgeting;
4-Coordinates and assists in implementing the overall action plans;
5-Approve and control expenses for activities in accordance with the prevailing provisions and
agreed upon budgets;
6-Cooperate / Coordinate with partner institutions for preparing, implementing and documenting
training events, workshops, forums and other activities;
7-Assist the Programme with various organisational and management issues.
2-Communication and networking
1-Develop and maintain contact with all stakeholders.
2-Provide orientation, advice and support to national and international experts.
3-Ensure knowledge management: collect processes and distribute relevant information and facilitate
communication and interaction between all stakeholders.
Required qualifications:
-University degree in gender studies, public administration, development studies,
-At least 3 years professional experience in the Local Government Sector with proven experience
in programmes of support to gender and good governance.
-Fluency in Arabic and English (knowledge of German language is an asset).
-Flexibility, organizational and coordination skills.
-Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
-Programme offices are located in Ramallah / Al-Bireh, but frequent field visits within West
Bank are needed.
-Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.
-Outstanding working knowledge of computer applications (e.g. MS Office).
Assignment: Starting June 25th 2013.
Contract: One year contract is envisaged with possibility of extension for another year.
