“Private Sector Development Program (PSDP)“
The objective of the Palestinian-German Business Cooperation Initiative is enhancing cooperation between German and Palestinian businesses, through linking German and Palestinian companies, offering support and services for companies such as consultancy, contact arrangements, business to business meetings etc..

To support the Program Team at the German House for Development Cooperation in Al-Bireh, we are looking for a
“Technical Coordinator: Palestinian-German Business Cooperation”
for the implementation of the above program activities of the PSDP with the public and private sector partners.
Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:
-Under the direction of the component manager, take ownership of the Palestinian-German Business Cooperation work-stream within the joint initiatives with the Palestinian private sector partners and German organization partners;
-Ensuring proper planning, designing and implementation of various business linkage services and activities (business to business matching, business trips and delegation tours for Palestinian and German companies )in Palestine and Germany.
-In the context of this sub-component, responsibilities to include:
-planning, design and development of new or follow-on activities;
-ensuring efficient and timely delivery of ongoing project milestones;
-coordination with technical teams of Palestinian and German partner institutions;
-management of Palestinian and German third party contractors;
-regular reporting, documentation and evaluation of project progress, impact and lessons learnt.
-Advising partner institutions in addition to assisting in the preparation of technical reports;
-Support of the component managers in management and administration.
Required qualifications:
-University degree in the fields of Economics, Business, Business Administration, Marketing or another relevant field;
-At least 5 years of professional experience in working in the Palestinian private sector or a private sector association or with international organizations in the fields of private sector development.
-Fluency in English and Arabic (oral and written), knowledge of German would be an asset;
-Ability to work within interdisciplinary teams;
-Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills;
-Computer literacy.
Assignment: Starting October 1, 2010, for duration of 18 months with possible extension.
