Position Title: Technical Team Lead

Position Description: Reporting to the CTO and working laterally with Senior Project Managers and
Design Team staff, the Technical Team Lead directs software development teams to deliver
industryleading
custom solutions. This position is fulltime,
based in Ramallah, and requires
supervision of software development staff.

Responsibilities:

- Primary responsibility for the full engineering development curve: from concept to code.
- D efine, and prioritize the features we'll be building for the web and mobile platforms.
- Carefully manage the building of new features using pivotal tracker, including planning
sprints, coordinating engineering resources (including your own schedule), and working with
the design team to ensure that assets are ready when needed.
- Lead one or more crossfunctional
agile development teams, comprised of multiple
developers.
- Translate technical specs received from the Design Team into specific task and delivery
timelines for each developer.
- Lead daily standups to assess progress and prioritize ongoing support.
- Lead improvements in software team efficiency and effectiveness, manage risk, and deliver
high value to customers and end users.
- Help to organize user experience testing

Required Qualifications:

- MA/MSc or equivalent sector experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading multiple, concurrent full project lifecycles, from concept to
delivery.
- 5+ years of experience managing crossfunctional
teams of 10+ software developers.
- Advanced knowledge of project planning tools (JIRA or similar), and code repositories
(GitHub or similar).
- Strong proficiency in English.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving
skills.
- Excellent organizational skills; creativity and objectiveoriented
focus.

- Prior work experience in the NGO/aid sector and/or prior experience working with/at regional
mobile networks (strongly preferred).
