The Trade Facilitation Project/JOB VACANCY

The Trade Facilitation Project is currently recruiting for the following positions. TFP is a USAIDfunded, multi-year initiative to support trade and cargo movement into and out of the West Bank and Gaza. The project is headquartered in Ramallah and works closely with private business and the PA. Some positions require travel throughout the West Bank.
Trade Specialist (full time)
The position will plan, manage, and implement project activities to support trade and cargo movement initiatives with the Palestinian private sector; identify and support resolution of constraints to exports and imports; and facilitate dialogue among private sector and public sector representatives (Palestinian and Israeli) to enhance trade among West Bank businesses. Experience includes:
* Minimum 15 years relevant experience in multi-sector business, transport, trade
* Proven personnel and task management experience
* Degree in business, economics, or related discipline
* Able to travel throughout the West Bank
* Fluent in Arabic and English, with strong writing, communication, and presentation skills
Trade Information Specialist (full time)
The position will develop trade information collection and analysis approaches; oversee quality assurance/ quality control activities according to international best practice; design and implement data processing and management systems; and define data presentation and reporting approaches for decisionmakers Experience includes:
* Minimum 4 years relevant experience
* Degree in economics, statistics, or related discipline
* Knowledge of data management/analysis software
* Fluent in Arabic and English
Technical writer/analyst (part time)
The position will analyze and interpret trade and related information from various primary and secondary sources; and draft high visibility reports for presentation to international donors and local government officials. Experience includes:
* Technical degree and at least 3 years experience in data presentation and technical writing
* Demonstrated outstanding English writing skills
Commercial Truck and Trailer Specialist (part time)
The position will assess truck and trailer fleet composition for the West Bank, including the basis for using different designs for different sectors and applications; characterize numbers, manufacturers, and technical characteristics for truck/trailer types; and review and assess different trailer designs for applicability to business sectors in the West Bank.  Experience includes:
* Extensive knowledge of commercial trucking sector in the West Bank; familiar with design specifications and applications of truck and trailer models used for commercial cargo
* Strong technical knowledge with technical degree preferred
* Fluent Arabic and good English
