Requirements Engineering Training - Gaza Strip
Mercy Corps is a nonprofit international relief and development organization serving more than 19 million people in 36 countries. Mercy Corps has had a presence in the West Bank and Gaza since the 1980s, helping Palestinians meet their immediate needs for survival and find durable solutions to chronic problems. With offices in East Jerusalem, Ramallah and Gaza City, Mercy Corps implements programs throughout the Palestinian territories.
As part of its Palestinian Community Assistance Program (PCAP), which is fully funded by USAID, Mercy Corps offers a program in economic development and workforce preparation. Within its focus on the ICT sector, Mercy Corps is working to provide ICT professionals with advanced technical skills which lead to income and quality of employment, and provide IT academics with up-to-date information in order to enhance quality of education IT undergraduates receive. In 2013, Mercy Corps will offer 2 pilot ICT certification programs targeting ICT professionals and Academics. “Requirements Engineering - Foundation Level” certificate is the second certification pilot that will be offered.
Mercy Corps is looking for a qualified ICT training provider(s) to deliver preparation training to prepare candidates for IREB/ISQI “Requirements Engineering - Foundation Level” Certificate for at least 24 participants divided into two groups.
Training provider’s Minimum Qualifications:
-At least two years of experience in providing ICT training.
-The training provider should propose two professional trainers
with the following minimum qualifications:
1-Hold a university degree in IT from an accredited university.
2-At least 5 of progressive and verified experience in Software Development.
3-At least 4 years of progressive experience in System Analysis/Business Analysis job roles.
4-Strong awareness of current trends in Software Development Methodologies including in-depth knowledge of the Software development cycle.
5-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6-Good interpersonal and communication skills.
7-At least two years of IT Training experience.
-Has or can provide two training rooms, with following specifications per training room:
1-Access to internet (wireless).
2-LCD projector and laptop for trainer.
3-Tables.
4-At least 20 chairs.
5-Back-up generator.
Activity delivery is expected to begin in mid-July, pending confirmation that each participant is eligible to receive US Government assistance.
ToR:
can be picked up at Mercy Corps Gaza Office, 2nd Floor, AbuGhalioun Building during normal working hours; from. Normal working hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Sunday to Thursday.
Bids Collection:
Starting from Tuesday 25 June 2013 to Monday 1 July 2013 at 2 pm.
A Pre-bid meeting will be held in Mercy Corps office on Monday, 1 July 2013 at 2:00 pm.
Submission:
All documents along with the ToR should be submitted in a sealed envelope and must bear the name of the offering contractor and be delivered to Mercy Corps’ Gaza Office before 2:00 PM on Thursday 4 July 2013.
