Training of Trainers for Freelancers (ToT) Trainees Application
Background:
GGateway offers temporary employments and a learning environment for recent graduates, enhancing their skills to provide unique ICT services (Data management, database, archives, automation processes, mobile applications, websites development, etc.) to the local market and to international clients in both English and Arabic.
The Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) seeks innovative ideas and approaches to developing strong programs within and across the Middle East and North Africa. Supported by a MEPI grant and through “Youth Empowerment Through Online Freelancing and Remote Employment in Gaza” (YETOFREG) project, GGateway aims to qualify Gazan ICT professionals to be certified freelancing trainers and mentors through a 4 weeks internationally recognized training program on TOT for freelancing and remote working skills necessary to become Freelance trainers. Freelancing trainers will be expected retain specific competencies to transfer the freelancing culture such as client management, profile bid management, finance management, and high-level freelancing platform knowledge. The training will be carried out for 15 ICT technical professionals to be certified trainers in order to coach other junior professionals in following stages of the project.
This advertisement seeks applications from holders of ICT related degrees or diplomas, who have at least 2 years of working experience through freelancing platforms.
Promising applicants will be shortlisted for an interview. Fifteen candidates will undergo 4 weeks of training. The highest 7 evaluated candidates from the above TOT will be contracted by GGateway to build a consortium of professional freelancers to act as body of the Freelance Advisory Lab (and later contracted as trainers and mentors/coaches). This Lab will provide coaching, formal freelancing trainings and consultation in the GHub freelancing/co-working platform at GGateway.
Successful candidates will be:
-Have ICT Related degree with two years diploma or four years bachelor degree
-Have at least 2 years of working experience through freelancing platforms
-Have a well-defined ICT technical skill match with contractors’ profiles who will conduct the training
-Training experience is preferred
-Does not have fulltime job in local companies/organizations
-Willing to commit to four weeks of training and any other required activities based on the training
