The Danish House in collaboration with the Palestinian Performing Arts Network (PPAN) are implementing a joint project titled, “Enhancing Palestinian Journalistic Critique” that aims to strengthen and develop cultural reporting and criticism among Palestinian journalists with an interest in the Palestinian cultural sector; and more specifically the performing arts field. With an ever-growing performing arts sector in Palestine, journalistic reporting, documentation and criticism requires significant enhancement to augment artistic diversity and quality.
We are looking for a professional trainer who can design and implement a 5-day training in the field of cultural reporting and criticism.
The trainer will develop and implement the training in collaboration with the Danish House and the Palestinian Performing Arts Network.
The trainer will:
-Assist in the development of an open call for potential trainees in coordination with the Danish House and PPAN;
-Participate in the process of selecting potential trainees;
-Design training curriculum – using local and regional reporting examples;
-Deliver 5 days of training in the field of cultural reporting and criticism;
Application Criteria: If you meet most of following qualities, we welcome your application:
-A University Degree in Media and Journalism or any relevant field;
-Experience in cultural reporting and criticism;
-Strong knowledge of the Palestinian cultural/arts sector;
-An outgoing, enthusiastic, self-motivated and creative personality, committed to own learning;
-Fluency in Arabic and English.
