The Negotiations Affairs Department
Recruitment of a Translator/Editor for the PNSP/NSU
The PLO Negotiations Affairs Department (NAD) wishes to recruit a highly skilled, energetic and dedicated Translator/Editor for its offices in Ramallah.
The main tasks of the Translator/Editor are:
-Edit any material developed or translated by other staff as requested by Project Manager.
-Ensure that the Arabic translation is linguistically and grammatically correct.
-Provide high standard editing and translation.
-Provide quality control for all Arabic translations.
-Translate concept or analytical papers, research documents, special reports, speeches or any material assigned by the Project Manager.
-Discuss translated documents within the team before finalization.
-Archive the original and translated material according to best practices in document management and based on project’s procedures.
-Provide interpretation support to international consultants recruited by the project upon engaging with PA ministries and institutions.
Applicants must have:
1-A university degree in Arabic language; a post graduate degree is preferred.
2-Translation diploma English/Arabic.
3- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Arabic language editing and 3 years minimum in translation.
4-Ability to work independently with highest levels of accuracy.
5-Ability to work within a team.
6-Good organization and archiving skills.
7-Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
