Employment Opportunity: Transportation Manager
The Operation Proteus office of the Department of National Defence of Canada in Jerusalem is seeking to hire a full-time Transportation Manager.
The Transportation Manager will be responsible for supervising and scheduling drivers; managing a fleet of vehicles; conducting administrative liaison duties including translation in both Arabic and Hebrew; and performing driving duties.
Essential Qualifications
-Minimum 3 years recent (within the last 5 years) experience managing transportation resources in an office environment with particular emphasis on scheduling and maintenance of vehicles;
-Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience (within the last 5 years);
-Valid Class C Drivers License;
-Fluency in English (verbal and written);
-Fluency in Arabic (verbal and written);
-Working knowledge (minimum intermediate level) in Hebrew (verbal and written);
-Computer proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel and Internet Explorer;
-Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
-Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
-Client focus; and
-Adaptability and flexibility.
Asset Qualifications (Desirable but not Essential)
-Advanced and Emergency Response Driver Training or similar qualification; and
-Fluency in French (verbal and written). Conditions of Employment
-Ability to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Security Clearance;
-Legal ability to work in Israel; and
-Ability to work overtime, sometimes on short notice.
