Background:
UNDP/PAPP and the Office of the Quartet Representative (OQR) is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the vacancy of Local OQR IT Specialist for the Office of The Quartet Representative in the Jerusalem office.
Description of Responsibilities:
IT Support:
A. Comprehensive level of support and maintenance for
· Servers, hardware and software systems
· Desktop hardware and software systems
· Local Area Network infrastructure and facilities
· Corporate productivity tools such as MS-Office suite
· MS exchange mail and calendar server, Blackberry server and anti-virus
B. Identify computer and network related problems and update personal computing technology facilities including but not limited to desktops, laptops and Operating Systems:
· Technical assistance and technical support for users as well as servers
· Respond to emergency technical support when and if needed
· Blackberry support
· Perform proactive maintenance on both servers and desk-tops
· Preserve and secure the OQR network from hackers, viruses, mail-waive as well as data and back it up regularly (daily and monthly) on alternate secure means
· Assist the office with developing database systems (Access or other) for recording inventory, personnel database and others as required
· Website design and maintenance for the OQR internet/intranet sites
· Produce and share network diagrams, passwords and license information with OQR designated contact point

· Good knowledge of PC/LAN operating systems, Microsoft Windows, corporate ICT security and viral protection systems, knowledge of web design, knowledge of Microsoft Windows network administration, ERP
· Ability to supervise and train support staff
· Ability to provide input to business processes re-engineering, elaboration and implementation of new systems

Qualifications :
· University Degree in Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) also required.
· 5 to 7 years of working experience in network administration and use of hardware/software, telecommunications facilities, knowledge of database packages, experience in web design and web programming.
· Knowledge of Blackberry configuration and use is an asset and a learning requirement
· Good English language skills, both written and spoken
· Fluency in written and spoken Arabic or Hebrew is required.
