Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree in law, social sciences, investigations, audit, inspection, nance, accounting, or other relevant fields, from an
accredited educational institute,asaminimumrequirement.Anadvanceduniversitydegreein anyoftheaforementionedareas
will be considered a strong advantage.
-Training or professional courses in Forensic Audit, law enforcement methodologies and/or inspection of fraudulent violations,
or related elds such as Certi ed Internal Auditor (CIA), Certi ed Public Accountant (CPA), Certi ed Fraud Examiner (CFE)
or national equivalent is considered a strong asset.
-At least three years of relevant experience in applying investigation techniques in criminal or administrative inquiries, with a
strong preference for candidates with seven or more years of relevant experience.
-Excellent command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
Comptencies:
-Knowledge and understanding of the theories, concepts and approaches relevant to administrative investigations;
-Proven ability to gather evidence and interview subjects and witnesses;
-Takes responsibility for delegated assignments and operates in compliance with organizational regulations and rules;
-Excellent written and spoken communication skills;
-Proven ability in establishing effective work relationships;
-Ability and willingness to take initiative;
-Good research, analytical and problem-solving skills; proven ability to analyse large amounts of information and provide reports that are factually correct, impartial and objective, concise, complete and logically organized;
-Strong judgment and decision making skills;
-Ability to plan own work and manage conflicting priorities;
-Ability to work under pressure;
-Takes responsibility for incorporating gender perspectives and ensuring the equal participation of women and men in all areas of work;
-Experience or training in the use of personal computers and in operating standard software applications such as MS-Word, Excel, and Access
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
-Working Knowledge of UN financial rules ,regulations and procedures
-Experience with UN organizations
-The incumbent will be required to travel,as needed in the agency area of operations in the middle east
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
This contractor agreement is for an initial 6 month period with the possibility of renewal. Monthly basic salary ranges between a minimum of is negotiable,depending on the professional knowledge and experience,
qualifications, and in accordance with UNRWA’s rules and regulations.
