The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees invites applications from qualified candidates for the following posts:

I. Communications Technical Assistant

1. Vacancy Number : 018/09/X

2. Duty Station : Field Office - Jerusalem

3. Basic Salary : JD 649.0 that varies in accordance to the pay policies set by the Agency.

4. Allowances : Family Allowances payable up to 7 children and spouse.

An allowance of 510 NIS payable in JD at UNRWA rate

5. Other Benefits : Include Health Insurance and Provident Fund.

6. Qualifications:

o A university degree in Telecommunications or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

o Technical Training in PABX and Billing systems.

o At least three years of progressively more responsible telecommunications experience in installing PABX and Billing systems.

o Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.

o Valid driving license

II. School ICT Assistant

1. Vacancy Number : 019/09/X

2. Duty Station : Field Office - Jerusalem

3. Basic Salary : JD 649.0 that varies in accordance to the pay policies set by the Agency.

4. Allowances : Family Allowances payable up to 7 children and spouse.

An allowance of 510 NIS payable in JD at UNRWA rate

5. Other Benefits : Include Health Insurance and Provident Fund.

6. Qualifications:

o A university degree in information and communications technology, electrical engineering, computer science,

computer engineering or a related discipline.

o Two years experience in hardware installation and maintenance in an information systems operation with a

Local Area Network environment running MS Windows Server and Exchange.

o Fair command of spoken and written English and Arabic.

o Ability to take initiative and maintain cordial relationship with all concerned;

o Ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic; remain productive during slow times, be able to multitask effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations;

o Ability to coordinate the work with others, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;

o Ability to understand rules, regulations and standards and to follow guidelines and instructions.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

o Work experience with Wide Area Network communications and MS Exchange operations;

o Experience or knowledge of UNRWA’s operations and computer facilities environment.

o Valid driving license

III. IS Help Desk Assistant

1. Vacancy Number : 020/09/X

2. Duty Station : Field Office - Jerusalem

3. Basic Salary : JD 649.0 that varies in accordance to the pay policies set by the Agency.

4. Allowances : Family Allowances payable up to 7 children and spouse. An allowance of 510 NIS payable in JD at UNRWA rate

5. Other Benefits : Include Health Insurance and Provident Fund.

Qualifications:

o University degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.

o Technical training in end-user computer hardware and software installation and maintenance.

o Three years experience in computer help desk services related support.

o Experience and knowledge of end-user computer technology, PC hardware and software products and latest Microsoft PC software products.

o Working knowledge of English and Arabic.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

o Experience with Microsoft LAN and E-Mail technology.

o Good communications skills, customer service and care related skills.

o Experience or knowledge of UNRWA’s operations and computer facilities environment.

o Valid driving license
