The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees invites applications from qualified candidates for the post of:

1-Vacancy number : 014/2012/X
2-Duty Station : Jerusalem Area
3-Grade & Salary : LDC Contract Band “B” – Q1
: 491.20 JD that varies in accordance to the pay policies set by the Agency.
4-Allowances : Dependency Allowances payable and other benefits (Medical Insurance) & Currency Adjustment Factor

5-Qualifications :
-Possession of a B.S. in nursing or a diploma in general nursing of at least three years’ duration;
-A license to practice nursing in the country of duty station.
-At least three years of satisfactory working experience as a qualified nurse provided with a certificate of satisfactory working experience for one year in maternal and child health;
-Experience in the use of computers and an understanding of their use in health applications.
-Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic.

Competencies
-Ability to work under pressure and cope with heavy workload;
-Adequate computer skills;
-Excellent organizational and communication skills;
-Self-motivated.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma or certificate in midwifery or public health nursing.

Note: Appointment to this post is subject to probationary period three months duration. Upon satisfactory completion of this period, appointment will be confirmed for nine months.
