MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate for this job will be directly responsible to the Senior Medical Officer or Medical Officer in charge of the health centre to which he/she is assigned. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the ideal candidate will:
-Assists the Medical Officer(s) in the centre to which assigned in all matters pertaining to X-ray examinations for patients and developing of X-ray films;
-Deals with all correspondence, compiles statistics and keeps records pertaining to the X-ray unit;
-Maintains radiology equipment and orders consumable supplies as may be required;
-Performs such other duties as may be assigned.

PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES
-Successful completion of Secondary Education.
-A certificate of a two-year X-Ray Technician training course granted by a training institution recognized by UNRWA
-At least two years experience as an X-Ray Technician.
-Working knowledge of Arabic and English

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
-Basic Salary: Monthly basic salary $ 644.80; plus a currency adjustment factor (present rate 12%) and monthly dependency allowance up to $123.25.
-Contract Duration: Three years including 1 year probation period.
-Leave: 30 days annual leave
-Pension: Provident Fund contribution
-Other conditions of service and benefits may apply.



EQUIVALENCY :
Candidates with an equivalent combination of relevant academic qualifications, professional training and progressive work experience may also be considered
