JOB VACANCY – Vetting Data Clerk (Jerusalem ID Required)
Tetra Tech DPK (Tt DPK) is implementing the Justice Sector Assistance Project (JSAP) IV under a contract funded by the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL). JSAP IV is a five-year project and serves as follow-on to three predecessor projects JSAP I, II, and III. JSAP IV provides support across the West Bank to the Public Prosecution Offices (PPOs), Palestinian Civil Police (PCP), Military Justice Commission (MJC), the Civil Defense (CD) and the Preventive Security Organization (PSO).
JSAP IV is seeking to hire a qualified individual to fill the following position:
Vetting Data Clerk (1-year contract at INL Jerusalem Office)
The Vetting Data Clerk (VLC) will be contracted for one year by JSAP to work as a full-time, embedded employee in the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL), Jerusalem Office, performing tasks assigned by a supervisor from INL/Jerusalem, while reporting administratively to the JSAPIV Senior Director of Operations and Administration (DOA). Working both independently and cooperatively while using creative approaches to support and ensure successful completion of INL’s activities and overall mission.
General Responsibilities:
-The VDC is responsible for ensuring that all applicable personnel who receive INL-funded are vetted in accordance with U.S. laws.
-The VDC will be responsible to be familiar with the vetting requirements of the U.S. Consulate Jerusalem and INL, and applicable laws and regulations.
-Gather required personal data on potential recipients (e.g. trainees, vendors) of INL-funded assistance and enter it into the appropriate database(s).
Other primary tasks of the Vetting Data Clerk will include:
-Collect required identification documents for relevant stakeholders, local vendors and prospective employees, submit vetting requests on behalf of INL and updating the vetting tracker as directed by INL Staff.
-Perform vendor verification as requested by INL, facilitating completion of service agreements, subcontracts and procurement memos.
-Work with relevant staff as needed to oversee purchase of office stationary and office equipment and ensure availability of needed items at all times.
-As needed, keep track of consultant and vendor contract validity, ensuring timely renewal of contracts before their expiration.
-As needed, assist INL/Jerusalem Staff in coordinating logistics (i.e. hotel booking, transportation of visiting consultants).
-As needed, coordinate and maintain records for staff inventory, including phones, equipment and office keys.
Candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:
must be a holder of a Jerusalem ID;
-ability to travel across the West Bank;
-ability to manage multiple work assignments under minimal supervision.
-ability to work within a team and under pressure
-strong verbal and written communication skills in English
-excellent writing and oral communication skills;
-university degree in business, public administration, English literature or other related field;
-three years' of experience in administrative work;
-experience in multi-national environments and operations
-Arabic and/or Hebrew language a strong asset.
-demonstrated ability to input and manage personnel data in a US Government database and provide feedback to INL/J or United States Security Coordinator (USSC) on vetting candidate status;
-demonstrated ability to run concurrent projects or operations at the same time;
-demonstrated ability to maintain detailed, confidential records in both electronic form and hard copy.
-proficiency with standard Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Power Point, Word, Excel).
-successfully complete an Regional Security Office (RSO)/consulate security certification.
-successful completion of Cyber Security Awareness training. NOTE: this is required to grant access to Department of State computers.
