WASH Engineer Field Officer (2 positions: 1 in North Gaza & 1 in South Gaza)
40 hrs per week – 6 months

The Role
To be responsible for the implementation of the day-to-day community-centred WASH activities according to the plan by establishing a good relationship with targeted communities and earning their trust. The post holder is expected to establish two-way communication where communities are listened to and provide feedback on the WASH activities.

What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in humanitarian water and sanitation programme
- Ability to engage proactively with project communities to ensure their full participation, with an emphasis on ensuring the participation of women
- Quality in programme reporting
- Ability to work well under pressure and in responding to changing needs
- Diplomacy, tact and negotiation skills
- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to gender issues, as well as the commitment to equal opportunities. .
- Commitment to Oxfam’s safeguarding policies to ensure all people who come into contact with Oxfam are as safe as possible.
- Excellent communication and cross-cultural management skills
- Excellent command of Arabic, English is desirable.
Computer skills (Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, GIS)
What we offer
The employees will be contracted by Oxfam with a competitive, fair and comprehensive pay and benefits package that is justifiable to our donors. Salary range starts at 66,239 ILS gross per annum, for a 40-hour contract. Salary offered will be subject to funding available and competences.
