Web Developer

GlobalCom Telecommunications PLC is seeking to employ a Web Developer that will be responsible for supporting the existing infrastructure as well as developing new technologies ,and implementing the ongoing development of the company 's website.

Essential Duties and Responsiblities :

1-Assist in development of a new look and feel for the company's website .
2-Design and implement user-driven templates,databases and interfaces for ease of use.
3-Develop database-driven Web interface for rapid ,real time information sharing.
4-Work in several programming languages including PHP,XML,PERL and JavaScript and Jquery.
5-Work with a variety of database systems including MySQL,PostgreSQL,and MS SQL Server.
6-Work with Apache and Microsoft IIS web server,UNIX and free BSD
7-Interact with servers using FTP and SSH protocols.
8-Code web pages utilizing XHTML and CSS
9-Maintain and enhance existing Web Applications.

Job Requirements:

1-At least two years degree (Bachelor degree prefered) in a computer-related field (Computer science /programming).
2-Experience with both Microsoft and Linux operating systems
3-Knowledge of standards-based XHTML and CSS coding.
4-Strong skills in Microsoft SQL server.
5-Experience with web-based software applications.
6-Flash video/animation experience a plus.
7-Good Knowledge in Adobe Photoshop,illustrator,Corel Draw is a plus.
