World Vision is an international Christian humanitarian aid agency working with
the most marginalized and poor communities of the world.
World Vision Jerusalem-West Bank-Gaza works in the Palestinian communities through long term impact areas called Area Development Programs (ADPs). Each ADP is established in one cluster of villages and focuses on various sectors in an integrated methodology that aims to achieve transformational development. Targeted sectors include education, agriculture, civil society, and economic development. World Vision is in the process of conducting an assessment of several villages in Hebron area in preparation for possible new ADP in the governorate. World Vision seeks to employ short term Program Development Assistant who will work in collaboration with existing staff on the assessment integrating the various sectors mentioned above with an emphasis on economic development
and income generation. This process will include field visits, conducting PRA tools, data analysis and the writing of design proposals and program design document.
World Vision Jerusalem-West Bank-Gaza is seeking a:
Program Development Assistant (4)
The successful candidate will:
Participate in and facilitate meetings with communities, local stakeholders, CBOs, NGOs,
and local village councils
Participate in collecting information and data on targeted villages through using various
research tools
Participate in facilitating workshops with the communities
Participate in the production of the Program Design Document
Conduct visits to households to collect primary information needed for the situation
analysis
Participate in the analysis of collected data
Qualifications/Requirements
- University degree in social studies, management, development, or related field
- English language skills an asset
- Commitment to achieving quality results and services
- Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Demonstrated ability in building and maintaining collaborative relationships
- Position is based in Hebron
- Integrity and strong identification with World Vision’s Core Values
