Youth Training Manager
Background:
IREX is an international nonprofit organization providing thought leadership and innovative programs to promote positive lasting change globally. IREX enables local individuals and institutions to build key elements of a vibrant society: quality education and innovative youth development programming, independent media, and strong communities. To strengthen these sectors, our program activities also include conflict resolution, gender, and technology for development. Since its establishment in 1968, IREX has employed field-tested methods and innovative uses of technologies to develop practical and locally-driven solutions with partners in 120 countries. In the West Bank and Gaza, IREX brings an innovative youth development approach that will lead the development and implementation of the USAID-funded Partnerships with Youth program in the West Bank.
IREX is recruiting for the following position for the Partnerships with Youth (PwY) Program based in Ramallah, West Bank.
Youth Training Manager
Responsibilities include: Develop and implement work plans related to a range of youth and leadership development programs; design PwY youth development trainings and implement Training of Trainers events; coach trainers throughout the West Bank in delivering training to youth; manage youth fellows programs; co-manage biannual youth-led community initiative grant programs; develop annual strategies for youth networking and exchanges; plan and implement National Forums; manage regional and cross-regional youth exchanges; provide technical and training support in youth development across PwY and with stakeholders and partners; supervise assigned staff; frequent travel within the West Bank; other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Attitudes:
-At least three years of relevant work experience in youth, education, civic education, and/or community engagement programs.
-Experience in program management and designing/implementing training strongly preferred.
-At least BA degree in relevant field.
-Must be a self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work under minimum supervision and have excellent organizational skills.
-Previous experience working for an international NGO or similar work environment is preferable.
-Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with team members.
-Strong ability in Arabic and English
