Job description
The Clinical psychologists will aim to reduce the distress and improve the psychological well-being of children. He will use psychological methods and research to make positive changes to children’s lives and offer various forms of treatment.
Clinical psychologists often work alongside other professionals in multidisciplinary teams in order to tackle complex patient problems.

Typical work activities
-To meet with the parents of children planning to in role in the center to take a full case history.
-To administer diagnostic tests to these children and come up with a clinical impression.
-To write full psycho educational reports about the assessed child.
-To maintain files on all children of the center, bearing in mind the rules of confidentiality.
-Working as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside doctors, nurses, social workers, education professionals, health visitors, psychiatrists and occupational therapists;
-To participate in structuring the Individual Educational Plan (IEP) of each child and follow up the progress with other specialists.
-To be completely up to date on the different new approaches and finding related to special needs children.
-To keep the head of clinic updated on the progress of children.
-To inform the head of clinic of any upcoming problem with the child in order to liaise with the parents and to advise them on how to support their daughter's or son's learning needs.
-Carrying out counseling sessions for parents when needed
-Carrying out applied research, adding to the evidence base of practice in a variety of healthcare settings.
