VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT: Information Security Officer (ISO)

Palestine Islamic Bank is seeking an experience professional to fill the position of Information Security Officer in its Headquarters in Ramallah, in accordance with the following requirements and qualifications:

-Job Objective:

To establish and maintain a corporate wide, security management program to ensure that assets are adequately protected. This position is responsible for identifying, evaluating and reporting on security risks in a manner that meets compliance and regulatory requirements, and aligns with and supports the risk positioning of the enterprise. The ISO position requires a visionary professional with sound knowledge of business management and a working knowledge of information security technologies. The ISO will proactively work with business units to implement practices that meet defined policies and standards for information security.


Roles and Responsibilities:

-Develop, implement and monitor a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security to ensure that the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information is owned, controlled or processed by the organization.
-Manage the enterprise's information security organization, consisting of direct  and indirect reports. This includes hiring, training, staff development, performance management and annual performance reviews.
-Facilitate information security governance through the implementation of a hierarchical governance program.
-Develop, maintain and publish up-to-date information security policies, standards and guidelines. Oversee the approval, training, and dissemination of security policies and practices.
-Work with various Business units and Departmental heads in Developing an Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
-Create and manage information security and risk management awareness training programs for all employees, contractors and approved system users.
-Provide regular reporting on the current status of the security program to senior business leaders and the board of directors.
-Create a framework for roles and responsibilities with regard to information ownership, classification, accountability and protection..
-Monitor the external threat environment for emerging threats, and advise relevant stakeholders on the appropriate courses of action.

Skills and Experience:
-At least 3 years of experiencein information security
-Hands-onexperience working with security issues, such as privacy and country specifics risks on intellectual privacy.
-Workingexperience in information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, ITIL, and COBIT
-Experience in developing and implementing information security policies and procedures, in addition to successfully executing programs that meet the objectives of excellence in a dynamic IT environment.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate security and risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences, up through and including the Board of Directors
-Ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations.
-Must be a critical thinker, with strong problem-solving skills.
-Exhibit excellent analytical skills, as well as the ability to work well in a demanding, dynamic environment and meet overall objectives.
-High level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters, and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
-High degree of initiative, dependability and ability to work with little supervision.

Education and Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science/engineering, information technology or other related major required
-Master's degree is a plus
-Professional security management certification, such as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), is a plus.
