Role Summary & Duties and Responsibilities:

Role Summary:

Perform the circuit switch (CS) core network Operation and planning activities which includes the following nodes:

MSC-S, MGW, HLR.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 
-Perform the core network planning activities for circuit switch nodes.
-Perform GSM/WCDMA architecture and design as per the marketing demand forecast.
-Perform Signaling network design and dimensioning (HSL, LSL, and SIGTRAN).
-Reviewing capacity utilization versus traffic & signalling to ensure correct design rule.
-Ensure proper routing plans.
-Ensure update of design rules and prepare the required modification of the current design according to the performance reports
-Performing the routine backups (CP, AP, ALOG, and CLOG, OSS).     
- Performing all planned and unplanned activities.
-Maintaining the KPI's as agreed with the vendors.
-Performing all the required acceptance tests.
-Performing implementation of signalling network according to the design.
-Performing Implementation of proper routing according to the plans.
-Performing proper implementation of numbering plan.
-Implementing the global title translation.
-Integrating new network elements for all core nodes.
-Configuring the USSD and short codes requests from marketing team.
-Performing all kinds of IREG and common tests.
-Performing Regular tests with live roaming partners.
-Troubleshooting for problems with live roaming partners.
-Integrating of Core with VAS and billing.
-Configuring the third party systems connected to core nodes.
-Performing extensive testing for new SIM vendors.
-Loading new SIM cards to the HLR/AUC.
-Activating and deactivating of core software features.
-Implementing interconnections towards mobile operators, PSTN, international gateways, and internal nodes.
-Coordinating with the FO for all O&M activities.
-Reporting all O&M activities to the Team leader.
-Implementation of any modifications on the plan as a required from planning team.
-Performing maintenance and preventive maintenance activities.
-Performing the daily, weekly, and monthly routine health check.
-Doing the required actions according to the performance report.
-Providing support for billing and customer care departments.
-Insuring the quality of work delivered.
-Coordinating with other departments.
-To be 24h/7d On-call and onsite available if needed.
-Good knowledge of using OSS tools.
-Performing all needed software upgrades and minor updates.
 -Deep Knowledge of SS7 protocol.

Deep Knowledge of all traffic cases flow

ExWork Experience & Qualifications::

    -Bachelor’s degree in Telecom/electrical engineering or equivalent.
    -5+ years of experience in core Planning & Operation.
   -Knowledge in 2G/3G network technology equipment’s.
    -Basic Linux/Unix skills.
    -Excellent MS Office skills.
    -Organization commitment.
    -Flexibility.
