OSS Engineer

Role Summry & Responsibilities:

Role Summary :

This position is supposed to perform all kinds of activities like system administration and configuration to ensure availability of system, service, and KPI achievement.

Duties & Responsibilities :

-    Ensure all basic O&M of the assigned systems containing OSS and other NMS systems.
-    Perform regular O&M activities, administration, backup, high availability maintenance, script writing and trouble-shooting of NMS to ensure the continuity of OSS services.
-    Ensure regular O&M activities for Unix/Solaris/Windows OS, networks, and DB administration.
-    Maintain the standard of NMS systems KPI by reducing outage.
-    Take part in upgrading SW and HW.
-    Take part in statistical data provisioning by using BI tools.
-    Ensure expert vendor support for UNIX/Windows OS, system high availability feature, database (Sybase, Oracle) administration, and -Oracle/HP workstations problem & troubleshooting.

Work Experience & Qualifications:

-    B.sc degree in electrical, computer engineering/science, or equivalent.
-    Two year of experience in UNIX/Windows administration and support.
-    One years experience in database & networks administration.
-    Knowledge of GSM, WCDMA, and OSS architecture would be an advantage.
-    Very good analytical ability and problem solving attitude.
-    Excellent communication skill & good team approach.
-    Self-motivated, creative, positive and ownership approach to challenges.

Personal Traits & Special Skills:

-    Good knowledge in MS Office applications.
-    Good communication skills.
-    Motivated team player.
-    Ability to work under pressure.
-    Good English (oral and written).
-    Computer Literacy knowledge.
