Transport Expert
Location: Ramallah

Role Summary and Responsibilities & Duties:

Including but not limit to:

-Mobile access transmission network (e.g. FTTx, Microwave, Leased Lines, Wifi, etc.)
-Fixed access and backhaul (e.g. Fixed xDSL, FTTh, CPE, DSLAM, BRAS, etc…);
-Core transmission network (e.g. Fiber, SDH /ATM, DWDM, OTN, OSP, Satellite technologies, leased capacity etc.);
-IP network (e.g. IP Core, IP backhaul, QoS, etc…)
-Managing, planning and documenting IP Addressing.
-Provide solution proposal, policy and implementation standard for the IP/MPLS, MPLS-TP based transport network.
-Annual Budgeting and forecasting plans.
-Complex network detailed design and optimization for MW/Fiber (IP/ATM/PDH/SDH/Ethernet)
-Based on the detailed design, create ready to implement data builds (i.e. planned configuration);
-End to End IP transmission in coordination with RAN design and MPBN connectivity
-Provide configuration plans for the Transport Network infrastructure on the HUB/Backbone locations;
-Measurements and analysis of meteorological events to bring the microwave network design in accordance with the on-field performance.
-Clock, (Frequency, Phase and Time) Synchronization design and verification on Transport Network.
-DCN network design and Implementation.
-Maintain updated diagrams for the Backhaul and Backbone networks of relevance.
-Any other tasks assigned by the direct superior or Head of Department

Experience & Qualifications:

-Bachelors / Masters’ degree in Electrical /Electronics/Telecommunications.
-Minimal 7 years work experience in Transport Planning experience, specifically for IP RAN experience is required.
-Must have a solid experience of IP/ Hybrid Microwave access/backhaul and IP/SDH/MPLS-TP Backbone network design and operation.
-Mentum Ellipse Experience.
-Ericsson and ALU IP/Hybrid microwave Experience.
-QoS in 3G transmission networks.
-Synchronization (Frequency, Phase and Time) in transport network.
-Excellent command of both written and verbal English and Arabic
-Expertise in Microwave/Fiber network design.(IP, Hybrid and TDM)
-Expertise in DCN network design and Implementation
