Responsibilities:

-Owner of the VAS platforms or part of them.
-Handling and monitoring system updates and upgrades with the vendor.
-System administration, including integration with other network elements.
-Participating in Test Scenarios and Test Plans development for the services and system functions.
-Preparing all procedures and documents related to daily operation and update them after system upgrade if needed.
-Tracing and analysing signalling between VAS platforms and other network elements mainly HLR, MSC, GPRS and IN.
-Monitoring and maintaining all interfaces between VAS and other network elements.
-Handling the operations for OMC related VAS.
-Designing and analysing of statistical reports.
-System software and hardware monitoring, supervising service-processing.
-Handling end user complaints on VAS related services.
-Monitoring disk storage and perform housekeeping and archiving for data and log files.
-Monitoring and executing maintenance procedures (daily, weekly and monthly) of the IN.
-Providing the company with Information System Support technically and operationally.

Requirements:

-Minimum of one year of experience related to VAS operations or similar.
-Experience with SMSC, MMSC, UMS, WAP GW.
-Knowledge of dual system mode (cluster), operation and maintenance.
-Knowledge and experience with protocols SS7 (especially MAP, SCCP), Diameter, MM4, MM7, ISUP…etc.
-Knowledge and familiarity with front end and query tools, SQL/PL SQL, UNIX operating system and Shell scripting.
-Backup and recovery strategies, performance and tuning techniques.
-Problem solving & analytical thinking.
-Good degree of numeracy and accuracy.
-Ability to work under stress and pressure.
-Bachelor degree in Communication, electrical engineering or equivalent.
-Proficiency in Arabic and English (oral and written).
-Computer Literacy knowledge (Microsoft).
