The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees invites applications from
qualified candidates for the post of:
Assistant Procurement Officer
1-Vacancy No. : 075/2014/X
2-Duty Station : Field Office Jerusalem
3-Department : Procurement & Logistics Department
4-Basic Salary : 588.6 JD+ that varies in accordance to the pay policies set by the Agency.
Other fringe benefits include provident fund & health insurance.
5-Allowances : Family Allowances payable up to 7 children and spouse.
An allowance of 1000 NIS payable in JD at UNRWA rate.
6-Qualifications:
-Successful completion of two years’ business course recognized by the Agency.
-A minimum of two years’ experience in business & administration and Procurement field.
-Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic.
Competencies
-Excellent communications skills, including the ability to convey in a clear and concise manner, complex concepts and recommendations.
-Familiarity with procurement computer applications.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION
-Knowledge of Logistics operations, supply chain management and the shipping industry.
-Training in time management.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
-Preference will be given to the internal candidates.
-Preference will be given to BA holders.
