The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees invites applications from qualified candidates for the posts of:

Mechanic

1-Vacancy number : 106/2012/X
2-Duty Station : Field Office Jerusalem
3-Department : Procurement and Logistics Department
4-Basic Salary : 457.4JD that varies in accordance to the pay policies set by the Agency
Other fringe benefits include provident fund & health insurance.
5-Allowances : Family Allowances payable up to 7 children and spouse.
An allowance of 1000 NIS payable in JD at UNRWA rate.

6-Qualifications:
-Completion of full preparatory education.
-Successful completion of a full time course of at least two duration in automotive repair.
-Three year’s satisfactory practical experience in automotive repairs covering petrol and/or diesel engines, using modern garage tools and equipments.
-Experience in using workshop manuals and spare parts catalogues.
-Knowledge of English language.

OTHER REAQUIREMENTS
-Possession of a driving license valid in the country of duty station covering all types of vehicles operated by the Agency.
-Passing a trade test conducted by the Vehicle Maintenance Officer.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
May be required to drive an Agency vehicle in the course of his duty.
