Security and Safety Officer
1-Duty Station :
Area Office Nablus/ Vacancy No. 121/2014/X
Area Office Hebron/Vacancy No. 122/2014/X
Area Office Jerusalem /Vacancy No. 123/2014/X
Field Office Jerusalem /Vacancy No. 124/2014/X
2-Department : Safety and Security Department
3-Basic Salary : 717.5 JD+ that varies in accordance to the pay policies set by the Agency.
Other fringe benefits include provident fund & health insurance.
4-Allowances : Family Allowances payable up to 7 children and spouse.
An allowance of 1000 NIS payable in JD at UNRWA rate (for Field Office Jerusalem post only/ Vacancy No. 124/2014/X).
5-Qualifications:
-A university degree in a related field, or any relevant professional qualification, training and progressive work experience.
-Training related to security and safety measures.
-At least two years of progressively responsible experience in the police, military, security industry or related field.
-Very good command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
Competencies
-Demonstrated organizational and planning skills; ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple activities.
-Proven ability to conduct training.
-Knowledge of security planning and management combined with good technical skills in safety matters and communications equipment.
-Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain working relationships in a multi cultural environment.
-Proven ability to perform with minimal direct supervision;
-Good report writing skills.
-Good computer skills; ability to operate standard computer software used by the Agency.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION
-Practical working knowledge of the UN.
-Formal training in security and safety measures.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
-Possession of a valid driving license.
-Willingness to work beyond regular working hours and respond to emergencies at any time.
-The incumbent may be requested to travel.
