-Manage the core network planning activities for (CS, PS and MPBN).
-Study offers and proposals (RFPs).
-Provide GSM/WCDMA architecture and design as per the marketing demand forecast.
-Signaling network design and dimensioning (HSL, LSL, Sigtran).
-Traffic network design and dimensioning.
-Reviewing capacity utilization versus traffic & signaling to ensure correct design rule.
-Ensure proper routing plans.
-Managing data fill for all CS, PS, and MPBN.
-Defining the core network KPIs.
-Ensure update of design rules and prepare the required modification of the current design according to the performance reports.
-Formulate Numbering plan.
-Global title translation.
-Integration planning for the new network elements for all core nodes.
-Manage the core / VAS nodes integration plan.
-Design and identify new core nodes products and software features.
-Evaluate new technologies, and features for core nodes enhancements.
-Managing all planning interconnections towards PLMN/PSTN operators, international gateways, and internal nodes.
-Coordinating with the vendors for all planning activities.
-Roadmap with the team for existing core nodes working closely with the vendor.
-Prepare regular progress reports of the activities related to the core network development & expansion.
-Reporting all dimensioning and planning activities for the core network management.
-Participate in setting short and long term plans for the future development of the WPT core network.
-Prepare manpower plans and identify skills, experience and competencies.
-Provide technical support and training needs for the planning engineers in the project.
-Insure the quality of work delivered by the planning team and partners achieve customer’s expectation.
-Inter departmental coordination.
-Manage all the required acceptance test activities.
-Ensure proper smooth handover process to the operational & maintenance team.
