Médecins du Monde France (MDM-F) is an international medical organization, which has been present in the PalestinianTerritories since 1995 and in the Gaza Strip since 2002.

MDM-F is currently working in Nablus district of the West Bank in the field of mental health, and in the Gaza Strip in support to Primary Health Care services, Emergency Medical Care and Orthopedic Care. MDM-F works in cooperation with the Ministry of Health (MoH) and different national and international partners.

MDM-F is looking for an experienced and motivated candidate to develop, organize, implement and follow up the mental health activities in the Primary Health Care program of MDM France in Gaza, as:

Mental Health Officer, Gaza

Duration: 9 months - renewable

Main duties

- Develop the mental health component of the Primary Health Care training

- Implement the mental health care component in 25 supported Primary Health Care Centers

- Develop and improve the mental health care aspect in the overall MDM program in the Gaza Strip

-Have an overview of mental health care activities in the Gaza Strip and work in close cooperation with the MoH

Requirements

- Profile: psychiatric or general nurse with additional experience in mental health and/or clinical psychology; psychologist with extensive knowledge of and affinity with Primary Health Care; psychiatrist

- Strong communication skills

-Ability to work in a team

- Ability to take initiative and to work independently, according to a pre established program planning

- Professionalism
