Agencies Mentor(s)
Project Background
Promoting Enrollment in the Digital Global Economy (EDGE): funded by The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), EDGE aims to create new income opportunities for unemployed Palestinians through a two-pronged approach: developing Palestinian entrepreneurial capacities and advancing freelancing agencies to unlock the sector’s full economic potential and increase employment among qualified women and youth. Through this project, we work towards creating equitable jobs and opportunities for youth and women to develop a sustainable and resilient model for the future of work.
Objective
Upon the completion of the training of 500 freelancers, 24 freelancing agencies will be created and provided with continuous support and mentoring. The 24 agencies will be divided into 6 groups that will receive mentoring and support through weekly meetings and check-ins. Through these sessions, the mentor will be able to solve any problems the agencies are phasing and support their progress. The sessions will focus on increasing the level of sales, number of contracts, and potential for growth for these agencies. Accordingly, the 12 top-performing agencies will be identified to receive further financial and technical support.
