Translation Devices for PYE program.

Program Background

Mercy Corps, in partnership with the International Youth Foundation (IYF) and national organizations: the Palestinian Charity for Youth Economic Empowerment (CYEE), Save Youth Future Society (SYF), Youth Development Resources Center (YDRC) Hebron, YDRC Jericho, and YDRC Jabal Al-Nar, Al-Nayzak Organization for Supportive Education and Scientific Innovation, and Lutheran World Federation (LWF) – is implementing the USAID West Bank/Gaza-funded Positive Youth Engagement (PYE) Activity (Agreement No. 72029421CA00004) from September 24, 2021 to September 23, 2028. Through this cooperative agreement, PYE aims to provide 50,000 vulnerable youth with a transformational learning journey that includes a package of life-skills training activities, ways to design innovative youth-led and community-based initiatives, and unique interventions to advance youth education and work opportunities that will position youth positively within their communities, families, and among their peers.

Purpose of the Assignment

To provide translation devices that facilitate effective communication between speakers of different languages during program activities, ensuring that all participants can fully engage and understand the content presented.

Tasks and Deliverables

Supply 14 high-quality translation devices, including 2 transmitters and 12 receivers.

 Devices should support simultaneous translation for multiple participants, allowing seamless communication across multiple languages.

Device Specifications:

·         Translation devices should have a range sufficient to cover the event venue without signal degradation.(30 Meters at least)

·         Devices must have adequate battery life to last the entire duration of each event without needing replacement.

·         Sound quality must be clear, with adjustable volume controls for users.

Expected Budget Breakdown, and Payment Terms

• Payment: Payment will be made after successful delivery completion, based on submitting ZERO VAT Invoice, and deduction at source.
• Mercy Corps will pay according to the actual delivered service, based on providing photos, and videos as per required, and according to agreed/approved quality.
• Prices will include Deliverables, transportation and equipment used.
