AUDIT OF EXECUTED JOINT PROJECT IN GAZA-PALESTINE

Introduction

The EU- AECID Joint Program “Resilience and economic growth in the agricultural sector in the Gaza Strip 2020-2023” is funded in accordance with the Financial Partnership Agreement signed by the European Commission and Palestinian National Authority on April 20, 2020, and the joint contribution (Delegated Cooperation) Agreement made by the EU with AECID for its establishment, and on the basis of the Spanish Agency for international Development Cooperation’s Grant Resolution dated on August 19th, 2020.

The Joint Program “Resilience and Economic Growth through Agriculture in the Gaza Strip”, 2020-2023 is part of the integrated approach to economic development through agriculture for Gaza that combines the introduction of innovative irrigation and production techniques, the generation of employment and opportunities for micro-enterprises, the analysis of the advantages of value chains in agribusiness for the participation of the private sector, and the consolidation of production initiatives led by women and their access to the market.

Project Management

Annex I of this TOR provides information on the project to be audited, including the information on the purpose for which the funds are intended in the context of project objectives as well as in terms of the budget to the project and the description of the executing agency including the physical address. Further information, such as organizational charts, description of responsibilities of project staff and coordinates of respective partners and focal points will be provided upon concluding the contract
