Business Support Consultant
LWF Jerusalem and CLWR are seeking a consultant/ firm to deliver business management coaching and advisory support services to TVET graduates that are establishing small and micro-scale enterprises (SMEs). These graduates have developed a business plan and are being provided in-kind support (tools and equipment) to launch their businesses through the GRIT project[1]; however, they require technical and entrepreneurial accompaniment and coaching to help them to establish their business venture. The nature of capacity building required will be determined based on a needs assessment conducted with GRIT start-up support recipients; however, may include capacity building in areas such as business promotion and marketing, financial management (e.g., simple bookkeeping, cashflow plans, and basic knowledge of financial statements) and/or technical industry standards/requirements. To date, key sectors being pursued by business start-up support recipients include culinary arts, mobile maintenance, graphic design and printing, photography, and interior design. Other sectors may be pursued as well.
Based on the findings of the needs assessment, the consultant/firm will prepare and deliver group workshops and individual coaching sessions in identified areas. The consultant/firm will also compile a toolkit (including relevant coaching materials, templates, and practical tools) that can be used during the workshops and coaching sessions and used by small business owners “on the job”, as relevant.
