MA’AN Development Centre in partnership with Oxfam is implementing the EU-funded project entitled “Building the Economic Resilience for the Gaza Strip”, which aims to enhance the economic resilience of vulnerable economic groups in the Gaza Strip affected by recurrent political and economic shocks, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The project is a 42-month project, starting in 2022.
The target groups and activities are varied but mainly the project seeks to target 350 new graduates, women, men, and skilled and unskilled workers, of which 150 persons will receive internship/apprenticeship opportunities for 5 months, and another 50 interns/apprentices will get vocational, of whom 40 will be subjected to remedial training. The project is extended to support 20 SMEs for build support plans in addition to providing 10 matching grants, developing 5 scale-up business models for non-agricultural SMEs, and providing seed funds to support 5 innovative ideas/initiatives that promote WEF and green economy.
Furthermore, the support package for the 2 TVET institutions includes developing 5 curriculums. Also, the project will support 3 livelihood preparation and response plans along with producing advocacy and media materials.
MA'AN is looking for a qualified consultancy team to conduct a business needs assessment and design 20 support plans for 20 SMEs in all governorates of the Gaza Strip.
Through this task, the consultancy team will elaborate a business needs assessment for the 20 SMEs (agricultural-based SMEs/cooperatives, textile factories/workshops, and SMEs in other non-agricultural sectors, most probably logistics services) that will be targeted to support internships and job placements activities under this project.
Interested Registered Consultant firms can get tender document from MAAN-Gaza office and must follow the following conditions to participate in the above tender:
- Companies must authorized registered dealer and registered in the tax departments with proof experience in the field of mentioned works for at least three years.
- Prices must be in EURO Excluding VAT .
- Prices must be valid for at least 120 days from the tender submission date.
- Qualified service provide can get the tender copy starting from Tuesday 6th September 2022 tell Thursday 15th September 2022 from MAAN Center between 09:00 AM and 03:00pm
- Offers must be submitted no later than Sunday 18th September 2022 at 03:00 pm
- Vendors/Service Provider must provide a bid bond guarantee (USD 800) only (Only Eight Hundred USD) either by bank guarantee or certified bank check, valid for 120 days from the last date of tender receipt.
- Tenders will be opened on Sunday 18th September 2022 at 03:00 pm
- A Pre-bid meeting to respond to any questions will be on Monday 12th September 2022 at 10:00 AM in MAAN – Gaza Office.
- MA’AN is not obliged to award the tender to the lowest prices, and is not obliged to give reasons.
- Offers will be assessed first on their technical merit using the evaluation criteria. Only technical scores of at least 70 points will qualify for the financial review. The financial offer weight is 30% from the total weight while the technical offer is 70% of the total weight.
- The awarded consultant firm will be required to pay for the cost of this advertisement in local newspaper and jobs.ps.
