Developing Environmental Management & Monitoring Plan(s) (EMMP) for the Safe Spaces
Mercy Corps through PYE program, is seeking the services of qualified service provider(s) to Prepare Environmental Management & Monitoring Plans (EMMP) per USAID Regulation 216 for the safe spaces that will be established under PYE program
Service Provide(s) Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The Service Provider(s) will use her/his education, considerable experience, and additional understanding gleaned from the reading materials and interviews to:
- Conduct desk review, research, and interviews with the PYE team, and national partners.
- Conduct field visits to the safe spaces and interview the safe spaces officials to determine the risk level category associated with the proposed renovation/rehabilitation activities, and any potential adverse environmental impacts through, where necessary in accordance with USAID environmental regulations and standards, and all enacted environmental regulations and standards in West bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem.
- Prepare Environmental Management & Monitoring Plan(s) (EMMP) per USAID Regulation 216 which would indicate the necessary mitigation measures for the safe spaces determined to be of unknown or moderate risks along with the monitoring plan per the USAID-approved templates.
- Take part in any discussions, as necessary, with USAID Environmental Officer, and PYE Chief of Party and reflect any feedback shared by them on the submitted EMMPs.
- Provide follow-up on the status of the EMMP throughout the implementation of the PYE program.
Deliverables
- Prepare the first draft of the EMMP plan for the safe spaces, and prepare presentation to present the draft plan to USAID and PYE team.
- Prepare the final draft of the Environmental Management & Monitoring Plan(s) (EMMP) per the EMMP template approved by USAID, reflecting USAID feedback if any.
- Prepare and submit the consultancy final on EMMP.
