The Palestine Information and Communication Technology Incubator (PICTI) is implementing the ‘From Innovation to Creation’ project, Funded by the European Union in collaboration with PICTI and SPARK.

The specific objective of the project is to unlock the potential of ICT-related innovators, entrepreneurs and start-ups in West Bank and Gaza Strip, with the aim of contributing to the growth and development of ICT across the various Palestinian sectors.

Within the framework of the project; PICTI will be launching “From Innovation to Creation” Start -up Competition targeting start-ups in Digital Tech, Green Tech, and Social Entrepreneurship.

About the competition:

60 entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to present their start-up idea in front of a jury panel in the hackathon week organized by PICTI. The hackathon will bring together all innovators, entrepreneurs and start-ups under one roof and allow participants to receive valuable feedback and networking opportunities. The hackathon will culminate in the selection of 9 winning start-ups in 3 main categories “Digital Tech, Green Tech, and Social Entrepreneurship”.

The 9 winning startups will enter a 6-month incubation program to turn their business ideas into actual business startups. This program will allow them to connect and network with decision-makers and investors in their specific sectors, receive a full branding package and to promote their businesses online. In addition to receiving seed funding to help lunch their businesses.

Who can Apply:

This is an open invitation to all Palestinian youth, students, entrepreneurs and innovators, residing in the West Bank and Gaza Strip to submit their innovative technological ideas to address one of the following three digital categories:

Digital Tech.
Green Tech.
Social Entrepreneurship.

Note: The candidates can apply as an individual or as a group.

The Selection Criteria:

Age shall be between 18-29.
residents in West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Originality and creativity in the identification and approach of the Business idea.
Clear Business plan and explanation of ICT idea.
Clarity of the problem that the start-up is trying to address.
Potential Financial sustainability.
The solution’s social, economic, and technical effects on individuals, communities, and institutions.

Deadline for Submission:

The deadline for submitting the applications will be on 01/ 02/ 2023.
